James W. Lewis
James W. Lewis represents plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury cases arising from motor vehicle accidents, premises liability and product liability. James also regularly handles cases involving wrongful death, brain injuries, burn injuries and sexual abuse cases.
James is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law. He began his legal career working for a downtown Los Angeles trial law firm defending public entities in cases involving serious personal injuries, wrongful death, dangerous condition of roadway, employment, civil rights and sexual abuse. Thereafter, James was an attorney at a large regional defense law firm for several years. More recently, James was a partner at a law firm in Los Angeles County where he was the head of the litigation department.
He was selected by Super Lawyers magazine as a Southern California "Rising Star" in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. This designation is based upon peer review and is only given to the top 2.5% of eligible attorneys in the State of California.
James is the vice chair and pro-bono legal counsel of a non-profit hospital foundation which raises funds for a large regional hospital in Los Angeles County. He is also currently a board member of two bar associations in Los Angeles County.
