$4.5 Million Molestation Verdict
Dave Ring and Louanne Masry obtained a $4.5 million verdict against Carlsbad Unified School District on behalf of two girls who were molested by their third grade teacher, Raymond Firth.
The jury unanimously found that the school district was liable for negligently supervising the teacher. Several parents complained about the teacher’s interactions with girls, yet nothing was done by the school. The trial took place in Vista (North San Diego County) and the verdict was handed down on June 18, 2012.
