Attorney David M. Ring Comments On The Michael Jackson Trial
David M. Ring of Taylor & Ring was interviewed by the LOS ANGELES TIMES on November 9th, 2011, about the civil wrongful death lawsuit brought by the estate of Michael Jackson. During the interview David was quoting as saying “Generally in civil court, the range of issues to be decided is far broader than they ever are in a criminal case; and that means a lot more evidence comes in,” said David M. Ring, a Los Angeles lawyer who has sued on behalf of plaintiffs in wrongful death cases. “Instead of just looking in the closet, you are looking in the whole house.”

A civil wrongful death case is different than a criminal case. For example, in Michael Jackson’s situation, the criminal case was against Dr. Conrad Murry alone for his recklessness in causing Michael Jackson’s death.
