FORMER VISALIA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT EMPLOYEE FACES FELONY SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES
ABC 30 Action News reports that Taylor & Ring attorney Brendan Gilbert successfully secured an $8 million settlement in a sexual abuse case against Visalia Unified School District. Gilbert spoke to reporters about the former campus supervisor named in the lawsuit, “He’s a textbook predator. He’s victimized minor females essentially everywhere he’s gone in his life at different jobs.”
According to the report, the alleged abuser, De Jaun Jones, is now facing 11 felony counts following multiple credible allegations of sexual abuse during the 2022-2023 school year. Gilbert, who is also representing a second teen survivor, noted that the district rehired Jones in 2022 despite serious prior misconduct.
