Dave Ring Represents Second Victim in Marlborough Sexual Abuse Scandal
BuzzFeed recently reported that a second young woman, “Marcy”, accused her former teacher at Marlborough School of sexually abusing her while a student at the elite private school. The article states that English teacher Dr. Joseph Koetters engaged in a “full-blown sexual relationship” with Marcy when she was a junior.
Mr. Koetters began grooming and coaching Marcy by complimenting her taste in music and literature, then escalated the relationship to meeting in private and exchanging late night emails.
Leading sexual abuse attorney Dave Ring stated, “We know Koetters engaged in similar misconduct dating back to his very first job in the early 1990s at Polytechnic High. Marlborough knew it, yet hired him anyways.”
In February 2014, Mr. Koetters was charged with four felony sex crimes relating to another former student who is represented in her civil suit by Mr. Ring.
